Free classes with Kelly, Leela, Penny & Craig
9am - 3.30pm
These free classes are intended for:
~ those that are new to yoga or
~ new to a certain style / teacher of yoga
AND
~ are keen to start attending a regular class!

What you can expect during our OPEN DAY -
~ A friendly and welcoming atmosphere
~ All props provided (but of course bring your own mat if you wish)
~ Time for a cuppa & chat with the teacher after your session

9am-9.45am: Hatha Yoga with Kelly
Kelly Bowen's teaching is influenced by Anusara yoga, amongst other traditions. Her classes provide a supportive environment to develop present moment awareness, encouraging a warm acceptance of limits and joy in practice. Her classes have a steady pace, space to breathe, and a supportive use of props such as blankets and blocks. Class concludes with a simple guided mindfulness meditation in the pose of shavasana (lying on the back). Her regular classes are on Thursdays @ 8.45am and on Fridays @ 9am & 10.45am. 10am-10.45am: Gentle Yoga with Leela
Leela teaches integral yoga classes that include postures, breathing techniques, meditation &/or a relaxation technique. Her regular classes range from gentle daytime classes to more in-depth evening classes. Explore this website for her full range of classes. 11am-11.45am: Yin Yoga with Penny
Penny Jones is a yoga teacher, nervous system coach and science communicator. Penny teaches various styles of yoga and will offer a Yin Yoga class for our Open Day. Yin Yoga is a meditative style of yoga where stretches are held for several minutes. This allows time to slow down, and to practice softening, allowing and receiving. The class will be suitable for all bodies - no need to be flexible, strong or any way other than you are. Penny currently teaches workshops and series. Book now to enjoy a taster with Penny.

12-1pm: Iyengar Yoga with Craig
Craig Mackay has been practising Iyengar Yoga in Tasmania for 25 years and has been a certified teacher since 2016. In Craig's classes there is an emphasis on alignment and a thoughtful use of props. Craig encourages you to practice to your own capacity whilst sensitively working with any injuries or conditions that you may have. Craig teaches Sundays @ 9am. For our Open Day, Craig is looking forward to introducing you to the beauty & benefits of Iyengar yoga within a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Book now to enjoy a taster with Craig.

2.30-3.30pm: Chanting & Kirtan with Leela & Penny
We're going to finish our Open Day with some chanting and singing yoga style. No experience needed. You'll be fully guided. All voices welcome! Booking required.
